With this post on her Instagram page, Sabine Lisicki revealed her “sweet secret” on today’s International Women’s Day. The 34-year-old German and her partner are expecting their first child this autumn. At the same time, the Wimbledon finalist of 2013 and four-time WTA tournament winner revealed that she will return to the tour after giving birth.
“Those who know me know that I love the sport of tennis and still have a lot to achieve on the court. The recent tournament victory in Calgary underscores my great passion for the sport. With what is ahead of me, I am already looking forward to the moment of returning to the WTA Tour as a mother,” Lisicki said.
