Camilo Ugo Carabelli has become the third consecutive player from Argentina to clinch the Challenger Bolivia title. Following the triumphs of Francisco Cerundolo and Mariano Navone in the past two years, Carabelli defeated home favourite Murkel Dellien 6-4, 6-2 in Sunday’s singles final.

The ATP Challenger Tour clay-court event offered a total prize money of $82,000 and was held at the Las Palmas Country Club in Santa Cruz. The largest city in Bolivia serves as its economic and industrial hub. Nestled in the tropical lowlands of eastern Bolivia, Santa Cruz is characterized by its warm climate, lush greenery, and vibrant culture.

Third-seeded Ugo Carabelli advanced to the title match with wins in the top half of the draw over Paraguayan wild card entry Adolfo Daniel Vallejo, local wild card Juan Carlos Prado Angelo, No. 7 seed Genearo Alberto Olivieri of Argentina and top-seeded Brazilian Thiago Monteiro.

The World No. 127 capitalized on four of his seven break-point chances and won 58 per cent of the total points played to secure victory in one hour and 29 minutes.

By winning his sixth ATP Challenger career title, his second of the season after Piracicaba in Brazil, Ugo Carabelli pocketed $11,200 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
