STUTTGART, April 16, 2024
Taylor Fritz‘s start at the ATP grass-court tournament, held from June 8 to 16 at the Tennis Club Weissenhof in Stuttgart, comes with special significance, as the 26-year-old has been a global brand ambassador for BOSS since early March this year.
“The BOSS OPEN has played an important role for me in previous years. Now, the importance of the tournament has increased even more. The competition in Stuttgart is very strong, but I come to the Weissenhof with the goal of making a good start to the grass season,” explains Fritz, who has won two of his seven ATP Tour titles in 2019 and 2022 on grass in Eastbourne. The US-American also reached his first quarterfinal at a Grand Slam tournament at Wimbledon in 2022.
Fritz celebrated his biggest tournament victory to date in 2022 at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Indian Wells. In the current season, the Californian native successfully defended his title at the Delray Beach Open in February.
“Taylor Fritz is known for his aggressive style of play, trying to put a lot of pressure on his opponents with his strong serve and powerful forehand. This makes him well-equipped to succeed at the BOSS OPEN. The fact that he will also be playing in Stuttgart this year for the first time in his new role as a global brand ambassador for BOSS makes it a special appearance in June,” explains tournament director Edwin Weindorfer.
