Teenager Juvan To Represent Slovenia In Fed Cup Group I In Tallinn

LJUBLJANA, February 26, 2018

Slovenia will compete in the Fed Cup by BNP Paribas Europe/Africa Zone Group I Pool C, facing Croatia, Hungary and Sweden on indoor hard courts at Tallink Tennis Centre in Tallinn. The round-robin matches will be played Wednesday, 7 February to Friday, 9 February. The play-off matches will be played on Saturday, 10 February.

The winners of each pool will be drawn to play-off against each other to determine which two nations will advance to the World Group II play-offs in April 2018.

Slovenia’s Fed Cup captain Andrej Krasevic elected World No. 174 Dalila Jakupovic, World No. 179 Tamara Zidansek, World No. 438 Nina Potocnik and 17-yaer-old Kaja Juvan, who is ranked No. 492 in the world.

“I am looking forward to play for Slovenia in the Fed Cup. Last year, I already gained some experience in this format, but this year I will have the chance to face players, who are ranked even higher,” Juvan told.
