An important personality on the Quebec cultural scene, Alexandre Barrette is well known for his two one-man shows. He recently finished touring his second one-man show which sold more than 100 000 tickets and earned him several nominations at the Les Olivier and ADISQ and award shows. Since childhood, Alexandre Barrette has been very passionate about tennis. He even developed as a tennis player at the Club Avantage in Quebec City. He competed in several tournaments at the junior level and continues to this day to play the sport and follows it with great interest. The Rogers Cup team led by Tournament Director Eugène Lapierre is very proud to be able to count on his participation for the tournament this summer.

“We know that Alexandre has strong ties to tennis, both as a player and as a fan. Even if his life is already quite busy, we still see him from time to time on our courts and we know that he is as interested as ever in this sport, if only by following him on social media,” stated M. Lapierre. “He is a perfect candidate for the role of spokesperson of the Rogers Cup and we are very pleased that he has agreed to associated himself to the tournament.”

Alexandre Barrette has already shown how ready he is for the upcoming tournament.

“Of all the spokespersons in the history of Rogers Cup, I am definitely the most honoured and excited to be filling this role!” said Alexandre Barrette.
