DTB strengthens partnership

In addition to many new sponsors, Raffel is also pleased about the increased involvement of the German Tennis Federation (DTB), which has recently been more involved in promoting ATP tournaments in Germany, such as the Tennis Open Stadtwerke Meerbusch.

“We organizers have arranged a pact with DTB sports director Klaus Eberhard in Überlingen at the end of last year to foster young talents, which I think is great,” a delighted Raffel said.

Haider-Maurer wants to play

Andreas Haider-Maurer, champion in 2015 and finalist in 2017, could return to Meerbusch this year. ” He contacted me after his first-round defeat in Roland Garros and told me his positive decision. I hope that his ATP ranking will allow him to enter the main draw directly. I expect many other top players to compete in Meerbusch,” said Raffel.

The tournament’s entry deadline will be in two weeks.
