‘Where and when will Roger Federer play his last tournament?’ That is the big question which can only be answered by the man himself. But does he know it already? After winning his 100th title, the Swiss announced that he will return to Dubai in 2020. This means that he is hopefully playing at all four Grand Slams in the coming twelve months.

Last January, Federer announced that he will play at Roland Garros in 2019 after three years of absence. In 2016 he was injured and in the next two years he skipped the clay season to be at his best at Wimbledon. In 2017 he won his favourite Grand Slam for the eighth time. He won Roland Garros just one time so far.

The greatest player in tennis history was Pete Sampras for a long time, with fourteen Grand Slam titles. At the moment Federer stands on top of the list with 20 Grand Slam titles. He is dominating the men’s tennis, together with Rafael Nadal (now 17 Grand Slam titles) and Novak Djokovic (now 15 Grand Slam titles), for the last 15 years. In the period 2004-2018 Federer, Nadal and Djokovic won together 50 titles out of 60 Grand Slams.

We do not exactly know when Roger Federer is going to end his career, but it is certain that 2020 will be one of his last years. Is he able to win his 21st Grand Slam? Can he do it on the clay with his comeback in Paris? Buy your Roland Garros 2019 tickets to see Roger Federer on the court one more time!
