M25 Seville ESP – Clay court specialist Orlando Luz crowns his dream week
The Copa Guadalquivir, hosted at Rio Grande A.R., in Seville, concluded with the triumph of Orlando Luz. In addition to his championship in the singles competition, the Brazilian clinched the doubles trophy together with his countryman Rafael Matos.
The 21-year-old top seed emerged victorious from the all-Brazilian semifinal-encounter versus Daniel Dutra Da Silva in straight sets.
No. 2 seeded Spaniard Sergio Gutierrez-Ferrol eased past his 18-year-old compatriot Carlos Gimeno Valero, who entered the tournament with a wild card, in the stage of the final four in two sets.
Barcelona resident Luz won 81 per cent of his first-service points to secure a 6-2, 6-1 win after 59 minutes. The former No. 1 in the ITF Junior rankings celebrated his seventh career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his third in 2019. He claimed all of his titles on clay.
M25 Mulhouse FRA – Dan Added clinches his third title of the season
Unseeded Dan Added is the champion of the Grand Prix Kia Barrisol, held at Tennis Club de I’lllberg in Mulhouse.
The 20-year-old French withstood 16 aces from his semifinal opponent Tobias Simon of Germany, getting the win in two sets.
Top seeded Arthur Rinderknech emerged victorious from the all-French semifinal-clash versus No. 6 seeded Antoine Escoffier in three close sets.
Winning two points less than his big serving rival, Strassbourg-born Added sealed the final victory by the score of 7-6, 2-6, 6-3 to lift his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M25 Santa Margherita di Pula ITA – Wilson Leite triumphs in Sardinia
27-year-old Wilson Leite got the trophy of the M25 Santa Margherita di Pula tournament hosted at ASD Fortevillage.
The Brazilian No. 6 seed battled past No. 4 seeded Davide Galoppini from Italy in the stage of the final four in three sets.
The tournament’s No. 3 Bruno Sant’anna from Brazil took the last step to the final by edging past Italian No. 8 seed Nicolo Turchetti in a tough three-set battle.
26-year-old Sant’anna had to retire in the all-Brazilian title match after losing the first three games in the opening set. Rio de Janeiro-Born Leite celebrated his sixth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Brasov ROU – Teenager Nicholas David Ionel with surprising victory
Nicholas David Ionel clinched the title of the M15 Brasov tournament, held at C.S. Dinamo Brasov.
The 16-year-old Romanian, who entered the competition by his current junior ranking, advanced from the top half of the draw, beating qualifier Aziz Kijametovic from Bosnia and Herzegovina in three sets.
19-year-old Oleksii Krutykh from the Ukraine knocked off Romanian No. 2 seed Nicolae Frunza in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Bucharest-born Ionel outpointed his rival 67-58 to claim a 7-5, 6-4 win in one hour and 45 minutes. He lifted his first trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Shymkent KAZ – Ivan Davydov captures his maiden title
The Shymkent Open, held at the National Tennis Centre, concluded with with the triumph of Ivan Davydov.
In the all-Russian semi-finals, the 22-year-old eased past Matvey Khomentovskiy in three sets.
The tournament’s No. 3 Alexander Igoshin made the last step by beating No. 2 seeded Alexey Zakharov in a three-set clash.
No. 6 seeded Davydov outpointed his 27-year-old rival 77-60 to seal a 7-6, 6-2 win after 95 minutes. The Moscow native celebrated his first singles championship on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Champaign USA – Axel Geller prevails in Illinois
No. 4 seeded Axel Geller took the title of the M15 Champaign tournament hosted at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign.
The 20-year-old Argentine advanced from the bottom half of the draw, beating Aleksandar Kovacevic from the United States in straight sets.
Australian qualifier Adam Walton stopped the run of Brazilian teenager Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida in the semi-finals in three sets.
Geller, who was ranked ITF No. 1 as a junior, won 84 of his first-service points to get the final win by the score of 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 after one hour and 57 minutes. The Buenos Aires resident lifted his third singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Tabarka TUN – Sensational run by Thomas Laurent
French qualifier Thomas Laurent claimed the Magic Tours trophy at the Thabraca Magic Hotel in Tabarka.
The 21-year-old knocked off Argentinean No. 2 seed Sebastian Baez, who was the top-ranked junior last year, in the stage of the final four in three sets.
No. 4 seed Moez Echargui from Tunisia made the last step to the final by defeating Anas Fattar from Morocco in straight sets.
Laurent, who is playing for the University of Oregon, converted five of his seven break point chances in the title match without losing a service game, to secure a 6-0, 6-1 victory in 70 minutes. The Montpellier native celebrated his maiden title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Cancun MEX – Cristian Rodriguez earns his first title on hard court
Roma resident Cristain Rodriguez is the champion of the Cancun Tennis Cup, hosted at the Cancun Tennis Academy.
In the semi-finals, the 29-year-old Colombian benefited from the retirement of US-American No. 2 seed Adam El Mihdawy at the score of 5-7, 0-1.
The tournament’s No. 1 Gage Brymer from the United States battled past Peruvian No. 6 seed Jorge Bryan Panta in three sets.
After losing the first set 4-6 , 24-year-old Brymer had to retire after three games in the second set. Following his two championships on clay in 2017, No. 4 seeded Rodriguez celebrated his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Cairo EGY – First title for Dimitriy Voronin
The M15 Cairo Tournament , held at Al-Solaimaneyah Tennis Center, concluded with the championship of Dimitriy Voronin.
The top seeded Russian advanced from the bottom half of the draw, defeating Lenny Hampel from Austria in straight sets.
Spanish No. 8 seed Jose Fco. Vidal Azorin fought past No. 4 seeded Alexander Weis from Italy in the semi-finals in two sets.
20-year-old Voronin converted five of his eight break-point opportunities by dropping two service games,to claim the final victory by the score of 6-2, 7-5. The match lasted one hour and 43 minutes. The Moscow native lifted his maiden trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Varna BUL – Juan Ignacio Galarza celebrates another trophy on clay court
Juan Ignacio Galarza prevailed at the Varna Municipality Cup 2019 hosted at Tennis Club Super Sport Varna.
The 25-year-old Argentinian stopped the run of Croatian qualifier Karlo Kranic in the stage of the final four in two clear sets.
Frenchman Quentin Folliot, who entered the tournament on position six, rallied down No. 5 seeded Juan Pablo Paz from Argentina in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Lasting 70 minutes, No. 4 seeded Galarza capitalized on six of his 10 break-point chances to secure a 6-2, 6-2 win in the title match. The Buenos Aires native celebrated his eighth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them on clay.
