The inaugural ATP Cup Group stage has kicked off in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney.

Tournament Director Tom Larner revealed on Friday that for every ace served across the 10-day tournament at all three venues will deliver $100 to the Australian Red Cross bushfire disaster relief and recovery efforts.

Day one has already seen $21,600 raised after team’s across the three cities served up 216 aces across singles and doubles matches. Team USA’s John Isner raised the most for the Australian Red Cross serving up 33 aces in his match against Casper Ruud.

With more than 1,500 aces expected to be served by singles and doubles players across both the group rounds and Final Eight in Sydney, the ATP Cup contribution is expected to exceed $150,000.

ATP Cup players have also started to get involved individually, with Team Australia’s Alex de Minaur, Nick Kyrgios and John Millman all pledging personal donations for every ace they serve.

The fundraising initiative will be jointly funded by the ATP, Tennis Australia, Tennis New South Wales, Tennis Queensland and Tennis West.
