MONTREAL, March 14, 2020 (Tennis Canada Press Release)

Following the announcement of the closure of sporting facilities made by the City of Montreal on Thursday evening and based on the recommendation from the City of Montreal Sports Department, Tennis Canada announced on Friday that IGA Stadium will close its doors to the public beginning at noon on March 13 and this for an indeterminate period of time.

With the closing of IGA Stadium, Tennis Québec and Tennis Montréal will also suspend all of their activities. These organizations will communicate the details directly to their clients and players.

IGA Stadium clients will receive an email once activities are set to resume and will be able to follow developments of this issue on the websites http://stadeiga.com/en/ and https://book.stadeiga.com/courtbooking/home/login.do

This decision comes a day after the announcement of the suspension of all Canadian National events organized by Tennis Canada up until the week of April 6, inclusively, due to the escalation of health and safety concerns caused by COVID-19.

Tennis Canada is closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and remains in daily contact with the Public Health Agency of Canada and the different tennis organizations. We will continue to communicate any changes to all stakeholders.
