Borna Coric has joined Grigor Dimitrov in testing positive for coronavirus. The 23-year-old Croatian faced the Bulgarian at the Adria Tour clay-court event in Zadar on Saturday afternoon.

Coric confirmed on Monday that he too has tested positive, despite being asymptomatic, and has urged those he came into contact with to also get tested.

In a post on Instagram, Coric said:

“Hi everyone, I wanted to inform you all that I tested positive for COVID-19.

“I want to make sure anyone who has been in contact with me during the last few days gets tested. I am really sorry for any harm I might have caused.

“I’m feeling well and don’t have any symptoms. Please stay safe and healthy. Lots of love to all.”

Following Dimitov’s announcement, the Adria Tour final, which would have featured World No 1 and tournament organizer Novak Djokovic against Russia’s Andrey Rublev, was cancelled “as a precaution and to protect the health of all participants and visitors”.

Aside from Coric and Dimitrov, Novak Djokovic’s fitness coach Marko Paniki and Dimitrov’s coach Kristijan Groh have also tested positive. Alexander Zverev and Marin Cilic have confirmed negative tests. Similar to Andrey Rublev they intend to self isolate for 14 days.
