STARNBERG, June 26, 2020
Cedrik-Marcel Stebe won the tournament in the intermediate stage of the Tannenhof Resort German Men’s Series held at the TennisBase Oberhaching.
The 29-year-old defeated Daniel Masur in Friday’s final match 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 and pocketed €5,000 in prize money.
“Today I felt a bit tired missing a bit of tension. I’m glad that I could turn the game around and win because Daniel didn’t make it easy for me today. Overall, I am very satisfied with performance. The first three days were very good and I can definitely prepared for the semi-finals in two weeks,” Stebe said in Oberhaching. Both, the World No. 133 and Masur advanced to the stage of the final eight players.
The pair will be joined by Maximilian Marterer and Kevin Krawietz, who came out on top of the tournament at the Tennis Club Großhesselohe.
“It was an enjoyable week. I played good tennis and I am absolutely happy with my performance. It’s good to know that I was able to play four matches in four days without a problem. Now I hope to keep it up in the semi-final,” said Marterer, winner of the tournament in Pullach.
Yannick Maden and Oscar Otte are the names of the qualifiers from Neuss. Yannick Hanfmann and Mats Rosenkranz are the top two in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
The semi-finals of the Tannenhof Resort German Men’s Series will be played at the Sport and Tennis Resorts in Meerbusch. “It will be a fantastic line-up,” organizer Marc Raffel is looking forward to the Tennis Open Stadtwerke Meerbusch to be held from July 9 to 12, 2020.
