The semi-finals of the Tannenhof Resort German Men’s Series will kick off on Thursday. The tournament is held from July 9 to 12 at the Teremeer in Meerbusch featuring a round-robin format, with eight players divided into two groups of four.
World No. 133 Cedrik-Marcel Stebe leads Group A alongside former Top 100 Yannick Maden, 2017 Lisbon ATP Challenger champion Oscar Otte and World No. 250 Daniel Masur. “We will see very interesting matches. I have already played Cedrik twice during the DTB German Pro Series. Unfortunately, I lost both encounters but I am looking forward to get another chance. I think all players, who advanced to the semis, are in excellent shape,” Masur said during an Instagram Live-Chat.
World No. 143 Yannick Hanfman leads Group B alongside six-time ATP Challenger winner Maximilian Marterer and 21-year-old Mats Rosenkranz. Reigning Roland Garros doubles champion Kevin Krawietz was forced to withdraw and will be replaced by Marvin Möller. “Even though this group may be a little weaker on paper than the other, I expect some difficult matches,” Hanfmann commented on the draw.
