Yannick Hanfmann is the winner of the Tennis Open Stadtwerke Meerbusch, the semi-finals tournament of the Tannenhof Resort German Men’s Series held at the Sport & Tennis Resort “Teremeer” in Meerbusch.
Hanfmann defeated Oscar Otte 6-2, 6-2 in Sunday’s final and earned €7,000 in prize money. “This was by far my best performance this week,” the World No. 143 was pleased with the outcome. “Yannick played very well and didn’t let me come into the match,” said Otte, who had to deal with some back trouble.
Both players will be joined in the final tournament in Großhesselohe by Cedrik-Marcel Stebe and Maximilian Marterer. The climax of the DTB German Pro Series is kicking off in Bavaria on July 21.
“I’m just happy that I can play for another week and that the final takes place at home in Munich. It will be a very even tournament,” said Hanfmann, who practices at the TennisBase Oberhaching.
