M25 Prostejov CZE – Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo prevails in the Czech Republic

Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo took the trophy of the Prostejov Open by Zelenec, hosted by TK Agrofert Prostejov.

The 22-year-old Spaniard battled past US-American No. 8 seed Alex Rybakow in the stage of the last four in two sets.

Argentinian No. 6 seed Facundo Diaz Acosta eased past No.7 seeded Czech Dalibor Svrcina, who clinched his maiden ATP Challenger title in Prague last week, in the semi-finals in straight sets.

No. 3 seeded Sanchez Izquierdo won three points less in the championship match than the former junior World No. 6 but secured a 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 victory after two hours and 28 minutes. The Barcelona native celebrated his fifth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay, and earned €3,239 in prize money as well as 20 ATP Ranking points.

M25 Ueberlingen GER – Ergi Kirkin captures third title of the season

The Ueberlingen Open concluded with the title win of Ergi Kirkin from Turkey. The 13th edition of the German clay-court event, located at the Lake Constance, was upgraded to a 25K-tournament and was held for the first time at the venue of the TC Altbirnau.

Top seed Kirkin made the last step to the final with a three-set victory against Tim Handel from Germany, who played college Tennis for the Northern Arizona University.

German Henri Squire, the former college player for the Wake Forest University, benefited in the semi-finals from the retirement of Spanish No. 4 seed Eduard Esteve Lobato at the score of 6-4, 3-6, 4-1. 

Twenty-two-year-old Kirkin won five points more in the title match to claim a 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 win after two hours and 25 minutes. The Ankara native lifted his seventh singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his third in 2021.

M25 Bacau ROM – Yshai Oliel wins first trophy on clay 

Follwing five title wins on hard court, left-handed Yshai Oliel clinched the trophy of the Dedeman Simba Trophy, hosted by the Sport Club Municipal in Bacau. 

The 21-year-old Israeli battled through the top half of the draw, beating Dragos Nicolae Madaras from Sweden in the semi-finals in two sets.

French No. 2 seed Arthur Cazaux advanced to the final with a straight-set win versus No. 3 seeded Ukrainian Vladyslav Orlov.

Ramla-born Oliel earned one break more than his 19-year-old rival in the championship match to succeed 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 after two hours and 47 minutes. The No. 5 seed celebrated his sixth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Koksijde BEL – Mathieu Perchicot earns another trophy on clay 

Mathieu Perchicot triumphed at the Koksijde Mens Trophy, held at Tennisclub Koksijde.

The 28-year-old emerged victorious from the all-French semi-final clash against Mathys Erhard in three sets. 

Wild card entry Joris de Loore won the all-Belgian semi-final battle versus Arnaud Bovy in three sets. 

Lasting two hours and 23 minutes with both players gaining five breaks, No. 5 seeded Perchicot won five points more in the title match to seal a 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 victory. The Biarritz native lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay court. 

M15 Bratislava SVK – Mate Valkusz triumphs in all-Hungarian affair

Clay-court specialist Mate Valkusz from Budapest captured the title of the 3rd ITF WTT M15 Bratislava, hosted by the National Tennis Centre.

The former junior’s World No. 1 edged out his fellow Hungarian Peter Fajta in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Hungarian No. 3 seed Fabian Marozsan reveived a walkover from Slovakian qualifier Tomas Liska in the stage of the last four.

Twenty-three-year-old Valkusz benefited in the championship match from the retirement of his rival at the score of 3-6, 6-1, 5-4. The No. 6 seed celebrated his 10th clay-court title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Pescara FRA – Alexis Gautier wins another title on clay 

Regione Abruzzo ITF World Tennis Tour

The Regione Abruzzo ITF World Tennis Tour 2021, held at Prati 37, concluded with the title win of Alexis Gautier.

The 24-year-old Frenchman fought past Italian No. 8 seed Emiliano Maggioli in the semi-finals in straight sets.

No. 3 seed Arthur Reymond booked his spot in the all-French final with a three-set win versus Italian No. 2 seed Riccardo Balzerani. 

Top seeded Gautier outpointed his left-handed opponent in the title match 67-56 to secure a 6-4, 6-4 win after one hour and 39 minutes. The Levallois native lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay court.  

M15 Warmbad-Villach AUT – Top favourite Peter Heller seals win 

Peter Heller is the champion of the Carinthian Open 2021 powered by Panaceo presented by Thermen Resort Warmbad Villach.

The top seeded German ended the run of Brazilian qualifier Gabriel Decamps in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

No. 5 seeded Alexander Weis received a walkover in the all-Italian semi-final encounter against Matteo Donati.

Cham-born Heller, who was ranked ITF No. 1 in 2019, won 81 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match to prevail 6-3, 6-4 in 88 minutes. The 29-year-old celebrated his 14th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his second this season.

M15 Lodz POL – Maciej Rajski returns to winners’ circle

Maciej Rajski captured the trophy of the M15 Lodz tournament, held at Miejski Klub Tenisowy w Lodzi.

The 30-year-old Pole eased past Brazilian No. 5 seed Gilbert Klier Junior in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Qualifier Yann Wojcik set the all-Polish final with a three-set win against Brazilian No. 4 seed Wilson Leite. 

Unseeded Rajski converted 10 of his 19 break-point chances in the title match to seal a 6-3, 6-7, 6-1 victory after two hours and 28 minutes. The Piotrkow Trybunalski-born lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden title win on home soil in 2017.

M15 Oldenzaal NED – Damien Wenger prevails in the Netherlands

Damien Wenger took the title of the Oldenzaal World Tennis Tour 2021, hosted by OLTC Ready Oldenzaal.

The Swiss No. 2 seed edged past Dutch qualifier Guy den Heijer in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Luke Johnson, the British No. 6 seed, advanced to the final with a three-set victory versus Italian No. 8 seed Lorenzo Bocchi. 

Twenty-year-old Wenger won 20 points more in the championship match and broke his opponent seven times to triumph 6-2, 6-3 in 85 minutes. The Bienne native celebrated his second singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Monastir TUN – Luciano Darderi captures another title in Tunisia

Luciano Darderi emerged victorious at the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir. 

The 19-year-old Italian stopped the run of US-American qualifier Kyle Seelig in the stage of the final four in three close sets.

Portuguese qualifier Duarte Vale took the last step to the final by defeating US-American No. 5 seed Gage Brymer in straight sets.

Villa Gesell-born Darderi capitalized on four of his sex break-point opportunities in the title match without dropping a service game to claim a 6-2, 6-2 win after one hour and 36 miutes. The former junior’s No. 8, who won three consecutive J1-tournaments in South-America last year, lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden title win at the same place two months ago.
