M25 Austin USA – Teenager Zachary Svajda clinches maiden title

Zachary Svajda is the champion of the Dropshot Series Men’s Pro Tennis Open, hosted by Texas Tennis Center in Austin. 

In the all-US-American semi-finals, the 18-year-old defeated No. 7 seed Eliot Spizzirri in two sets.

Lucky loser Eduardo Nava moved to the final with a straight-set win versus qualifier Colin Markes.

Second-seeded Svajda capitalized on four of his 11 break-point opportunities in the championship match and won 79 per cent of his first-service points to succeed 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 after two hours and 19 minutes. The La Jolla native lifted his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Columbus USA – John McNally wins first title

The Columbus M25 USTA Pro Circuit, held at TY Tucker Tennis Center in Ohio, concluded with the title win of John McNally from Cincinnati.

The US-American No. 7 seed eased past Taha Baadi from Canada in the stage of the final four in two sets.

Wild card entry James Tracy booked the spot in the all-US-American final with a straight-set win against his No. 6 seeded compatriot Cannon Kingsley. 

Lasting exactly three hours, 23-year-old McNally sent down eight aces and gained one break more in the title match to claim a 4-6, 7-6, 6-3 victory. The older brother of WTA professional Catherine McNally celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Opava CZE – David Poljak triumphs on home soil 

David Poljak clinched the title of the Opava Open 2021, hosted by the Tennis Centrum Opava.

The Czech top seed advanced to the final with a straight-set win against French junior entry Sean Cuenin.

German No. 5 seed Marvin Moeller cruised past No. 7 seeded Russian Savriyan Danilov in the semi-finals in two sets. 

Ostrava-born Poljak fired 12 aces and won 82 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match to prevail 6-3, 7-6 after one hour and 42 minutes. The 25-year-old lifted his fifth singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Nules ESP – Damien Wenger captures third title of the season

Damien Wenger won the trophy of the II Open Caixa Rural Nules, held at Scude-Nules located in the North of Valencia.

The Swiss No. 6 seed fought through the bottom half of the draw, beating No. 8 seeded Stefan Palosi from Romania in the semi-finals in three sets.

Andrea Picchione from Italy edged out Spaniard Diego Augusto Barreto Sanchez in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Twenty-one-year-old Wenger converted six of his 11 break-point chances in the title match and dropped only one service game to get a 6-1, 6-2 victory in 69 minutes. The Bienne native celebrated his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his third in 2021.

M15 East Lansing USA – Raymond Sarmiento returns to winners’ circle

Raymond Sarmiento from Glendale captured the title of the Capital City Tennis Classic, hosted by the MSU Tennis Center in Michigan.

The 29-year-old emerged victorious from the all-US-American semifinal-battle against No. 3 seed Alexander Brown in three sets. 

Gabriel Diallo from Canada took the last step to the final by defeating Luxembourgian qualifier Alex Knaff in three sets.

Top seeded Sarmiento outpointed his rival in the championship match 93-79 to triumph 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 after about two hours. The former college player for the University of Southern California lifted his second singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden title win in France 2016.

M15 Cundinamarca COL – Michel Vernier clinches maiden title 

The Dove Men Care, held at Club Pueblo Viejo, concluded with the title win of 29-year-old Michel Vernier.

The Chilean No. 3 seed fought past Colombian junior entry Johan Alexander Rodriguez Rodriguez in the semi-finals in three sets.

No. 7 seed Daniel Antonio Nunez set the all-Chilean final with a straight-set win versus Colombian No. 6 seed Alejandro Hoyos Franco.

Santiago-born Vernier secured a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win in the final to celebrate his first singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 New Delhi IND – Valentin Vacherot wins second title of the season

No. 3 seed Valentin Vacherot was victorious at the M15 New Delhi tournament, hosted by RK Khanna Tennis Stadium.

The France-born, who is based at the Monegasque Training Camp FMT and represents Monaco in the Davis Cup, finished the run of Indian qualifier Vishnu Vardhan in the semi-finals in two sets.

Australian junior entry Philip Sekulic battled past Indian No. 2 seed Sidharth Rawat in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

Twenty-three-year-old Vacherot gained one break more in the championship match to prevail 5-7, 6-2, 7-6 after two hours and 49 minutes. The former college player for the Texas A&M University lifted his second career trophy on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Cochabamba BOL – Tomas Farjat captures maiden title

Tomas Farjat took the his first title on the Pro Circuit by winning the Copa Cochabamba, held at Club de Tenis Cochabamba.

The 20-year-old edged out top seed and fellow Argentine Matias Zukas in the semi-finals in three sets.

Peruvian No. 2 seed Jorge Brian Panta booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win against No. 7 seeded Argentinian Valerio Aboian.

No. 3 seeded Farjat fired 10 aces in the title match and won 89 per cent of his first-service points to secure a 6-4, 7-6 win after one hour and 26 minutes.

M15 Heraklion GRE – Filip Cristian Jianu prevails in Crete 

Filip Cristian Jianu captured the trophy of the M15 Heraklion, hosted by Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy in Crete. 

The top seed from Romania stopped the run of US-American qualifier Michael Zhu in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Filip Bergevi from Sweden fought past Romanian No. 2 seed Nicholas David Ionel in the semi-finals in three sets.

Twenty-year-old Jianu capitalized on five of his 11 break-point chances in the championship match to succeed 6-2, 6-4 in 91 minutes. The Bucharest native, who was ranked World No. 5 as a junior, lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour. 

M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Peter Fajta earns maiden trophy 

Peter Fajta took the title of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament, held at Soho Square, to celebrate his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

The 19-year-old Hungarian made the last step to the final by defeating Korean No. 2 seed Duckhee Lee in two sets.

Italian veteran Francesco Vilardo eased past Kuan-Yi Lee from Chinese Taipei in the semi-finals in straight sets.

No. 4 seeded Fajta broke his rival in the title match three times without dropping a service-game to seal a 6-4, 6-2 victory after one hour and 28 minutes. 

M15 Monastir TUN – Moerani Bouzige captures another Monastir title

Moerani Bouzige clinched the trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir.

The Australian qualifier advanced to the final with a straight-set victory versus Brazilian No. 5 seed Gabriel Decamps.

Frenchman Mathys Erhard knocked off the tournament’s top favourite Aziz Dougaz from Tunisia in the semi-finals in two sets.

Gold Coast-born Bouzige sent down seven aces in the championship match and won 80 per cent of his first-service points to prevail 7-5, 6-4 in 86 minutes. Following his maiden triumph at the same place four weeks ago, the 22-year-old lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Antalya TUR – Daniel Michalski wins another trophy on clay

Daniel Michalski emerged victorious at the Antalya Series, held at Club Megasaray in Belek.

The Polish No. 3 seed cruised past Bogdan Ionut Apostol from Romania in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

British No. 4 seed Billy Harris battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating No. 2 seeded Dragos Nicolae Madaras from Sweden in the semi-finals in two sets. 

Twenty-one-year-old Michalski gained two breaks more in the title match to claim a 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 win after two hours and eight minutes. The Warsaw native celebrated his fourth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on clay.
