World No. 399 Elmar Ejupovic of Germany and World No. 403 Dan Added from France lead the entry list of the Daikin Open. The ITF World Tennis Tour M15 tournament is being held this week at the TennisBase Oberhaching situated in the South of Munich, Germany.
Twenty-nine-year-old Ejupovic, who finished runner-up to Jan Satral from the Czech Republic in the last edition of the tournament two years ago, will be joined by a strong German contingent. Third seed Peter Heller, who was ranked ITF World No. 1 in 2019, will also be among the favourites together with eighth seed Marvin Moeller.
2018 Daikin Open champion Dominik Boehler, Oscar Moraing and former college-player Tim Handel are also part of the main draw.
Wild cards have been awarded to the youngsters Max Hans Rehberg, Liam Gavrielides, Philip Florig and Alen Mujakic, who are all based at the national sports centre for tennis in Oberhaching. Four Germans lifted the trophy in the last five editions.
Left-handed Added will be joined by his compatriot Valentin Royer as well as French teenagers Sascha Gueymard Wayenburg and Luca van Assche, who clinched the trophy of the Roland-Garros Junior Championships and was ranked Juniors World No. 1 last season.
Fourth favourite Alexander Weis and No. 7 seed Riccardo Balzerani will represent Italy in the main draw.
