Silvia Dalle Molle and Lorenzo Elia were crowned champions of the third edition of the Tennis Europe All Round Sport & Wellness under 16 “Category 2” event held in Rome, Italy.

Elia won the men’s final against Mattia Pescosolido 6-4, 6-2. Home favourite Dalle Molle, the sixth seed in the women’s draw triumphed in the final over Diana Rolli 7-6(2), 6-3.

In men’s doubles, Filippo Catalano and Alberto Nicolini beat Luca Cosimi and Mattia Logrippo 2-6, 7-6(7), 10/5.

“This event is a showcase for the future of tennis,” said tournament director Marco Dominici. “There are young players taking their first steps in the international circuit here and others who have been on these courts for a while. We’ve had some interesting foreign players, and I must say we are very satisfied. Many Roman tennis players have performed well, and I’m also pleased about that. The educational aspect for these players is very important, and through this experience, they have the opportunity to grow and mature.”
