The 18th edition of the Open Blot Rennes broke its attendance record at the Le Liberté venue, attracting over 32,000 spectators and confirming its status as a major event on the city’s calendar.
Record-breaking attendance
The 2024 edition welcomed a record 32,230 spectators between September 9 and 15, the highest in the tournament’s history. The addition of a fourth stand helped accommodate the growing crowd, while free access to the Open Village allowed visitors to enjoy the event’s vibrant atmosphere.
On-court spectacle
Top players like Adrian Mannarino, Lucas Pouille, and Benoit Paire thrilled the audience. The final between Quentin Halys and Jacob Fearnley delivered an incredible showdown. The tournament continues to strive for higher levels of competition, aiming to attract even bigger names.

Tennis for everyone
Beyond the matches, the Open Blot Rennes promotes accessible sports, with initiatives like “Open en Quartiers” for local youth and “Open Together” to highlight inclusivity and wheelchair tennis. Events like “Kids Day” welcomed young tennis enthusiasts from local schools.

The tournament’s success motivates further growth, with plans to elevate from ATP 100 to ATP 125. Open Blot Rennes remains committed to inclusivity, equality, and making tennis accessible to all, promising even more in 2025.
Matthieu Blesteau, the tournament director, said: “I am truly satisfied with this 18th edition. Once again this year, I saw smiles and emotion from a large crowd that came to break the attendance record. Our goal is to make tennis accessible to everyone and bring people together around this wonderful sport through a unifying event. I believe this mission was accomplished this year, but it doesn’t deter us from our ambition to keep growing. A big thank you to the Rennes public, our volunteers, and the Rivacom Events teams for making this a major edition.”
