Jankovic And Mattek-Sands Go Sky High In Gstaad

The inaugural WTA Ladies Championships in Gstaad has kicked off with the matches of the qualification last weekend. Former world number one Jelena Jankovic and Bethanie Mattek-Sands admired the spectacular scenery of the Bernese Alps. They visited the Glacier 3000 and also took the “Peak Walk”, the first and only suspension bridge, which connects to mountain peaks.

“I feel like being on the peak of the world. It’s great to make this exprience.” told Jankovic at the altitude of 3,000 metres.

“It’s been my first time so high up in the mountains,” Mattek-Sands added. “It is a fantastic experience and will make my stay in Gstaad unforgettable. From now, it is the best place I have ever been!”
