ÚS-Americans Collin Altamirano and Thai-Son Kwiatkowski received wild card entries into the US Open Qualifying Tournament on Wednesday.

Previously selected US-American Qualifying wild card recipients Donald Young and Chris Eubanks received direct entry into the Qualifying Tournament after a number of players entered into Qualifying received wild card entries into the Main Draw.

Altamirano and Kwiatkowski were teammates at the University of Virginia. Altamirano, 22, of Sacramento, is ranked No. 347 and was the USTA Boys’ 18s National Champion in 2013. Kwiatkowski, 23, of Charlotte, was the 2017 NCAA singles champion.

The US Open Qualifying Tournament, the anchor event of US Open Fan Week, runs August 21-24 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
