Tomas Berdych will make his return to the courts for the first time since June. The 33-year-old from the Czech Rebublic has been given a wild card into the main draw of the Qatar Exxon Mobil Open in Doha to start the 2019 season.
Berdych, who dropped to World No. 71 in the ATP-Rankings, withdrew from the ATP event in Montpellier and did not play after the Fever-Tree Championships at London’s Queen’s Club due to back injury.
Fitness coach Marek Všeťíček joined Berdych’s team last month. The team spent most of the pre-season in Monte Carlo.
