Andy Murray made a triumphant return to competitive tennis on Thursday evening at the Fever-Tree Championships. In the last match on Centre Court, Murray and Spanish veteran Feliciano Lopez defeated top seeds Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah of Colombia 7-6(5), 6-3 in front of a packed crowd in one hour and 14 minutes.

“I’m very fortunate to be back playing tennis again,” Murray said, as quoted in a press release. “I love playing on this court, it’s a brilliant place to play. I expected to enjoy the match because I told myself I was going to regardless of what happened because a few months ago I had no clue whether I’d be back playing on a court.”

Meanwhile, Murray announced to team up with Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbert at Wimbledon.

Like Nick Kyrgios, the former World No. 1 entered the hotseat with 9-year-old Tennis For Kids correspondent, Vuk Vitic.
