M15 Horgen SUI – Louis Wessels claims his second title of the season
Louis Wessels is the champion of the ITF Zürichsee Open 2019, held at the venue of the Tennisclub Horgen.
The 21-year-old German took the last step to the final by beating Luca Staeheli from Switzerland in two sets.
Colombian Alejandro Gonzalez, who entered the tournament on position three, ended the way of Swiss Damien Wenger in the semi-finals in two sets.
Top seeded Wessels dominated the title match, winning 85 per cent of his first-service points. After 69 minutes, the Bielefeld native secured a 6-0, 6-2 win to celebrate his fifth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
After the match, Wessels said: “This has been my best performance so far. I played very well. I only made three or four errors in the entire match. I tried to keep the ball in play, to make no errors and to counter him in the end of the rallies. I like his style of playing. But I didn’t expect such a short match against a former top 100 player.”
Raphael Baltensperger and Antoine Bellier prevailed in the all-Swiss doubles final against Luca Staeheli and Damien Wenger by the score of 6-4, 6-2.
M25 Donostia-San-Sebastian ESP – Javier Barranco Cosano seals another home win
Left handed Javier Barranco Cosano took the trophy of the 90 Concurso Internacional de Tenis de San Sebastian, which was hosted at Real Club de Tenis de San Sebastian.
The 20-year-old Spaniard rallied past Daniel Dutra da Silva from Brazil in the semi-finals in straight sets.
Last week’s Santander-champion Oscar Jose Gutierrez, who knocked off top seeded Jose Hernandez-Fernandez from the Dominican Republic in the stage of the last eight, emerged victorious from the all-Brazilian semifinal-clash versus No. 7 seeded Orlando Luz in two sets.
No. 2 seed Barranco Cosano converted six of his 12 break-point chances by losing two service games to secure a 7-5, 6-0 win. The Almeria native lifted his sixth trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his fifth on Spanish soil.
M25 Irpin UKR – Laurynas Grigelis wins first title of the season
The Irpin Cup, hosted at Tennis Center UTF, concluded with the championship of Laurynas Grigelis.
The 28-year-old Lithuanian advanced from the bottom half of the draw by beating Argentinean No. 2 seed Juan Pablo Ficovich in straight sets.
Top seed Denis Yevseyev from Kazakhstan battled past Brazilian No. 4 seed Guilherme Clezar from Brasil in the semi-finals in three sets.
No. 3 seeded Grigelis capitalized on five of his eleven break point opportunities by dropping one service game, to secure a 6-3, 6-0 victory after 76 minutes. He celebrated his 23rd career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour in addition to his ATP Challenger title in Aptos 2011.
M25 Ust-Kamenogorsk KAZ – Edan Leshem clinches his first title abroad
Edan Leshem triumphed at the M25 Ust-Kamonogorsk tournament held at Tennis Center Smash.
The 22-year-old New York native, who is representing Israel, edged past Alexey Zakharov in the stage of the final four. The Russian teenager had to retire in the first set after losing the first four games.
Top seeded veteran Konstantin Kravchuk, who was previously ranked World No. 78, emerged victorious from the all-Russian semifinal-battle against No. 3 seeded Bogdan Bobrov in two sets.
Leshem, who entered the competition on position two, benefited from the retirement of his 34-year-old rival at the score of 2-2 in the first set of the title match. Following his eight previous triumphs on Israeli soil, he lifted his first trophy abroad.
M25 Gyor HUN – Roberto Cid Subervi captures his second title of the season
The Gyor Open, hosted at Marcal Teniszcentrum, concluded with the championship of Roberto Cid Subervi.
The top seed from the Dominican Republic fought past Argentinean Camilo Ugo Carabelli in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
Tournament’s No. 4 Vit Kopriva from the Czech Republic advanced to the final by defeating Austrian Lenny Hampel in two sets.
Breaking his opponent’s service six times, 26-year-old Cid Subervi claimed a 6-1, 6-0 victory in the championship match after 85 minutes. Following his triumph in Memphis earlier this season, the Florida resident celebrated his sixth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Kiryat Shmona ISR – Yshai Oliel takes title on home soil
19-year-old Yshai Oliel sealed victory at the M15 Kiryat Shmona tournament, held at ITC Kiryat Shmona.
The Israeli No. 4 seed, who was ranked ITF No. 2 as a junior, stopped the way of same-aged No. 2 seed Aidan McHugh from Great Britain in the semi-finals in three sets. Glasgow-born McHugh was ranked No. 8 in ITF Juniors last year.
Former No. 7 in the ITF Juniors Ranking Jack Draper from Great Britain, who entered the tournament as the top seed, made the last step to the final by defeating Riccardo Maiga frow Switzerland in two sets.
In the championship match of the two left handed players, Ramla-born Oliel outpointed his 17-year-old rival 95-93, to seal a 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 win after two hours and 52 minutes. He lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his third in 2019.
M15 Piombino ITA – Matteo Martineau prevails
Matteo Martineau claimed the title of the ITF Future Citta Piombino held at ASD Tennistica Piombinese.
The 20-year-old French edged past Spanish No. 7 seed Pablo Vivero Gonzalez in the stage of the last four in straight sets.
Top seeded Hugo Gaston from France, who was ranked No. 2 in ITF Juniors last year, won the semifinal battle of the teenagers against British Anton Matusevich in three sets.
No. 2 seeded Martineau won the final by the score of 2-6, 7-6, 7-6 after two hours and 44 minutes. The Angers native celebrated his second singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Haren NED – Jesper de Jong triumphs again on home soil
The SportStroom World Tennis Tour Haren 2019, held at Tennis en Squashclub Haren, concluded with the victory of Jesper de Jong.
The Dutch No. 6 seed battled past No. 5 seeded Marvin Netuschil from Germany in the semi-finals in straight sets.
No. 8 seed Juan Ignacio Galarza from Argentina took the last step by beating Dutch teenager Zachary Eisinga in three sets.
19-year-old de Jong capitalized on six of his 12 break-point chances by dropping two service games to secure a 7-6, 6-4 win after 85 minutes. After his maiden championship in Oldenzaal two weeks ago, the Haarlem native lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

The top seeded Slovakian fought past Italian No. 3 seed Giovanni Fonio in the stage of the final four in straight sets.
No. 4 seeded Kirill Kivattsev from Russia held off Czech teenager Tomas Jirousek in the semi-finals in three sets.
Lasting one hour and 54 minutes, 21-year-old Klein won 77 per cent of his firs-service points to claim a 7-6, 6-3 victory in the title match. He celebrated his sixth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, the fifth in 2019.
M15 Hua Hin THA – Yu Hsiou Hsu wins on Asian soil
20-year-old Yu Hsiou Hsu from Chinese Taipei triumphed at the M15 Hua Hin tournament, which was held at True Arena Hua Hin.
The No. 3 seed advanced from the bottom half of the draw by defeating Takashi Saito from Japan in three sets.
British top seed Ryan Peniston eased past No. 4 seeded Seong Chan Hong from the Korean Republic, who was ranked ITF No. 2 as a junior, in the semi-finals in three sets.
Changhua-born Hsu converted five of his eight break-point opportunities by losing two service games, to prevail after 82 minutes 6-3, 6-3. After his championship on home soil last year, the former No. 5 in ITF Juniors lifted his second singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M25 Tabarka TUN – Tomas Martin Etcheverry dominates in Tunisia
Following his defeat in the title match last week at the same place, Tomas Martin Etcheverry was crowned champion of the Magic Tours tournament, hosted at Thabraca Magic Hotel in Tabarka, without losing a set during the entire week.
The 20-year-old Argentinian made the last step to the final by beating Slovenian No. 6 seed Tomas Lipovsek Puches.
The tournament’s No. 8 Lorenzo Bocchi from Italy, who knocked off last week’s Tabarka champion Matias Zukas from Argentina in the stage of the last eight, rallied past Spaniard Imanol Lopez Morillo in the semi-finals in straight sets.
No. 2 seeded Etcheverry capitalized on five of his 12 break-point chances without facing a break point, to seal a 6-1, 6-1 win after 87 minutes. The La Plata native celebrated his third career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
M15 Cancun MEX – Matija Pecotic claims his second Cancun title of the season
Left handed Matija Pecotic got the championship of the Cancun Tennis Cup, held at Cancun Tennis Academy, to lift his second Cancun trophy on the ITF Pro Circuit in 2019.
The 30-year-old Croatian edged past Bolivian No. 4 seed Federico Zeballos in the stage of the final four in straight sets.
Christian Langmo, who entered the tournament on position six, emerged victorious from the all-US-American semifinal-clash versus No. 7 seeded Gage Brymer in two sets.
Unseeded Pecotic won 71 per cent of the points on his second service to get the final win with 6-3, 6-3, lasting one hour and 32 minutes. The Belgrad native, who played college Tennis in Princeton and is currently coaching at Harvard, celebrated his sixth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
