All four semi-finalists of the €42,500 Prosperita Open in Ostrava aimed at reaching their first final on the ATP Challenger Tour. Constant Lestienne and Zdenek Kolar have eventually become the lucky ones to compete in Sunday’s title match.

Lestienne, who captured the ITF Future title in Bressuire in January this season, eased past Stefano Napolitano in the pair’s first tour meeting. The world number 276 from France saved four of the six break points he faced, converting five of his own to advance after one hour and 14 minutes.

Kolar emerged victorious from the all-Czech-encounter with Marek Michalicka, winning 6-2, 6-1. The 19-year-old wild card lost the previous two meetings with his 10 years older compatriot but showed his mettle in his maiden Challenger semi-final.

Kolar played a fantastic Istrian clay court swing on the ITF Pro Circuit in March, lifting one trophy in Porec and finishing runner-up in Pula. The teenager lost his serve only once and capitalized on five of his nine own break point opportunities to seal victory in only 59 minutes.

Later the afternoon, Austrian pair of Sander Arens and Tristan-Samuel Weissborn clinched the doubles title with a 7-6, 6-7, 10-5 victory over Lukas Dlouhy and Hans Podlipnik-Castillo in one hour and 56 minutes.
