SZCZECIN/STARNBERG, September 17, 2023
The ATP Challenger Tour has returned to Poland this week for the 2023 Invest In Szczecin Open. The €145,000 clay-court event has firmly established itself as a standout tournament on the tennis calendar. This prestigious competition, a three-time recipient of the Challenger of the Year award, boasts a rich history spanning over 25 years on the professional circuit.
Federico Coria took the title following a 6-1, 7-6(4) win over Vit Kopriva from the Czech Republic in Sunday’s singles final. In front of packed stands at Korty Mosrir, the No. 5 seed from Argentina capitalized on seven of his 18 break-point chances and won 54 per cent of the total points played to seal victory in one hour and 49 minutes.
