“It was a long and tough week, but the most beautiful of my life in tennis,” the World No. 302 said.
“I am truly emotional. When everyone asks for photos and autographs at the end of the match, it’s not easy to realize what happened. I will enjoy the moment. I will spend with my family in the next few hours. I thank my mom, who accompanied me throughout the week. The crowd was fantastic throughout the week.”
Jacquet has become the 26th Challenger champion from France this year, extending the record for most titles by a country in a season. By winning the biggest career title, the Lyon native pocketed €19,650 in prize money as well as 125 ATP Ranking points.
