STUTTGART, November 17, 2023
Germany’s top-ranked player Alexander Zverev will compete in the next two editions of the BOSS OPEN. This was announced by the organizers of the ATP Tour 250 grass-court tournament on Friday. The 2024 edition will be held from June 8 to 16, 2024 at the Tennis Club Weissenhof in Stuttgart, Germany.
“The BOSS OPEN have shown great development, especially in recent times. Added to that, the tennis-loving audience at Weissenhof creates a very special atmosphere. So, I’m really looking forward to being part of Stuttgart’s event in the coming two years. Tournaments in Germany hold a special place for me. There’s nothing better than playing in front of my fans,” said Zverev, who clinched titles this season in his hometown of Hamburg and in Chengdu, China following an ankle injury suffered in Paris in 2022.

Zverev’s comeback has also earned great respect from former World No. 1, Thomas Muster. At the Erste Bank Open in Vienna, the Austrian remarked, “Alexander Zverev has impressed me immensely over the past few months. He was on the verge of becoming number one when he suffered a serious injury in Paris last year. His ankle was pretty much shattered, but he bounced back with strong performances, impressively finding his form again,” said the Stuttgart winner of 1995 and 1996.
As a top-ten star, Zverev will be among the four seeded players receiving a bye in the first round at the BOSS OPEN next year. “This gives Alexander Zverev ample time to prepare optimally for the BOSS OPEN, even if he advances far in the French Open in Paris beforehand. We are thrilled to announce the participation of the German number one in Stuttgart at such an early stage, and that Alexander Zverev will also play in Stuttgart in 2025,” stated tournament director Edwin Weindorfer.
