Jannik Sinner, riding high on his recent fine run of form at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, continued to delight the Tifosi by leading Italy to a remarkable 2-1 comeback win against the Netherlands in their Davis Cup quarterfinal clash in Malaga, Spain.

In a tense encounter against Tallon Griekspoor, Sinner navigated through a tight first set and then surged ahead in the second, securing a convincing 7-6(3), 6-1 victory to even the tie at 1-1.

Teaming up with Lorenzo Sonego, they powered to a 6-3, 6-4 win over Griekspoor and Wesley Koolhof, clinching Italy’s spot in the semi-finals. They now play Serbia, led by World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, who beat Great Britain 2-0.

The Netherlands gained an initial 1-0 lead courtesy of Botic van de Zandschulp‘s resilience. The 28-year-old saved two match points in a thrilling two hours and 52-minute battle, sealing a 6-7(6), 6-3, 7-6(7) win over Matteo Arnaldi.
