“For us this cup is a priority, we do everything we can to represent Australia, with pride and passion,” said De Minaur. “It’s not too bad to reach another final.”
Under the guidance of captain Lleyton Hewitt, the Australian team finished runner-up to Canada in the 2022 final and missed an opportunity to narrow the gap with the 32-time champions, the United States.
“Our boys dug really deep. We’re a tight-knit unit and we’ve given ourselves another opportunity on Sunday,” said Hewitt.
Australia are set to clash with the winner of the Serbia vs. Italy semi-final, scheduled for Saturday.
