The Next Gen ATP Finals presented by NEOM commences on Tuesday in Jeddah, where the best 21-and-under players will compete at the first ATP-sanctioned event in Saudi Arabia.
Frenchmen Arthur Fils and Luca Van Assche, both 19, lead their respective round-robin groups, while Switzerland’s Dominic Stricker returns to the innovative year-end event for the second straight year.
Former champions at the tournament include Stefanos Tstisipas, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.

The eight contenders wasted no time acclimating to Jeddah. Fils took charge even before the matches began. During a pre-tournament event on Friday, he led a group of his competitors on a tour of Al-Balad, Jeddah’s historic old town, driving them around in a golf buggy.
“It was good,” said Fils, quoted by the ATP. “I was driving the boys, it was easy. Everyone was smiling and laughing. It is nice to be with the boys, as it is not often. It is a great city. It is nice and the people here are very welcoming. I am liking it.”
