The clay-court swing on the ATP Challenger Tour continues this week with the Ano II – Brasil Tennis Challenger, being held at the Clube Cristovao Colombo in Piracicaba, a city located in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo.
Four qualifiers led by home favourite Daniel Dutra da Silva rounded out the main draw of the tournament, which offers a total prize money of $82,000. The 35-year-old Parelheiros native defeated his compatriot Jose Pereira 6-4, 6-3 in one hour and 40 minutes on Monday.
Dutra da Silva will be joined in the main draw by Alex Barrena of Argentina as well as Damien Wenger and Kilian Feldbausch from Switzerland.
