Camilo Ugo Carabelli has captured the title of the Ano II – Brasil Tennis Challenger. The No. 2 seed of the ATP Challenger Tour 75 clay-court tournament defeated fellow Argentine and top seed Federico Coria,7-5, 6-4 in Sunday’s singles final held at the Clube Cristovao Colombo in Piracicaba.
Ugo Carabelli sent down four aces and won 68 per cent of his first-service points. The 24-year-old Buenos Aires native broke his rival’s serve five times to prevail after one hour and 52 minutes.

“I am really happy. In Campinas, I was very close, lost to Monteiro (Thiago), so I am very happy with this title. I really like playing here; the conditions are very good, but I hope to have a ranking for bigger tournaments for the rest of the year,” said Ugo Carabelli.
By winning his fifth ATP Challenger career crown, Ugo Carabelli pocketed $11,200 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
