Nine of the current Top 10 players in this week’s WTA Rankings have been confirmed for the upcoming 47th edition of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix at Stuttgart, Germany April 13-21. The WTA 500 event on indoor red clay is the tour’s annual kick-off to the European spring clay season.

The 28-player draw, which also includes all four of the reigning Grand Slam champions, includes two-time defending champion and current World No. 1 Iga Swiatek of Poland, two-time runner-up and current No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, No. 3 Coco Gauff of the United States, No. 4 Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan, No. 5 Jessica Pegula of the United States (making her Stuttgart debut), No. 6 Ons Jabeur of Tunisia, No. 7 Zheng Qinwen of China, No. 8 Marketa Vondrousova of the Czech Republic and No. 10 Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia.
Rounding out the entry list: No. 14 Jasmine Paolini of Italy, No. 15 Liudmila Samsonova of Russia, No. 16 Ekaterina Alexandrova of Russia, No. 19 Veronika Kudermetova of Russia, No.20 Emma Navarro of the United States, No. 21 Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic, No. 24 Sorana Cirstea of Romania, No. 26 Marta Kostyuk of Ukraine, No. 28 Elise Mertens of Belgium, No, 29 Anastasia Potapova of Russia and No. 31 Linda Noskova of the Czech Republic.
Wild cards have been given to Porsche Brand Ambassadors Angelique Kerber of Germany and Emma Raducanu of Great Britain.

“We’ll again be presenting our loyal spectators in the Porsche Arena with the world’s top players. It’s our goal,” Tournament Director Markus Günthhardt said in a statement. Operating Tournament Director Anke Huber added: “Having so many top stars is not a given. What pleases me is that the American players will be coming over to Europe so early in the season especially for our tournament.”
Qualifying for the remains spots in the main draw begins on April 13 at Porsche Arena in Stuttgart and the main draw commences on April 15.
