Adria Soriano Barrera took the title of the 14th edition of the Loule Open by Cimpor, an ITF World Tennis Tour M25 tournament organized by the Loule Tennis Club with the support of the Loule Municipal Council and the Portuguese Tennis Federation.
The 24-year-old Colombian wasted no time and emerged victorious against top seed Jules Marie of France 6-3, 6-2. The final on Sunday brought together two players who defeated home favourites in the semi-finals: Soriano Barrera beat Duarte Vale, while Marie defeated Pedro Araujo.

“I am very happy, especially because I had lost the two previous finals, so I was very nervous. I know Jules well, I watch his videos on YouTube, so I had a certain advantage,” Soriana Barrera revealed afterwards. “I know his game well and tried to be as brave as possible and play aggressive tennis to prevent him from forcing me into too many rallies. That left him frustrated, and I also served very well, I couldn’t ask for more.”
Soriano Barrera claimed his third career title on the Pro Circuit and second in Portugal, about a year and a half after opening his trophy cabinet with a perfect week in Setubal.
“I love Portugal, I have a special affection for this country. The people are amazing, the food is incredible, and they always put a lot of effort into organizing tournaments. Besides, they have many tournaments on hard courts, which is my favorite surface, so I will definitely come back more often,” he said.
