Dominic Thiem has announced his retirement at the end of the season by posting an emotional video on Instagram.
“I’m gonna finish my career at the end of this season … My wrist is not at the way it should be and how I want it. I was thinking about this decision for a very long time,” Thiem stated.

The 30-year-old Austrian Thiem has won 17 singles titles, including a Grand Slam triumph at the 2020 US Open. Thiem reached a career-high ranking of World No. 3 in March 2020.
