Frenchman Titouan Drouguet has captured the title of the Francavilla al Mare Open. The top seed of the €74,825 ATP Challenger Tour clay-court tournament defeated Italian wild card entry Jacopo Berrettini, the younger brother of Matteo, 6-3, 7-6(4) in Sunday’s singles final.
Drouguet battled his way into the championship match with wins in the top half of the draw over his compatriot Jules Marie, Italian qualifier Andrea Guerrieri, local wild card entry Gabriele Piraino and Franco Agamenone of Italy.
The 22-year-old broke Berrettini’s serve three times and won 54 per cent of the total points played to prevail after one hour and 56 minutes.

Following four title wins on the ITF World Tennis Tour, Droguet captured his maiden Challenger crown. The World No. 146 collected € 10,200 in prize money as well as 75 ATP Ranking points.
