STUTTGART, May 14, 2024
Andy Murray will play the 2024 BOSS Open. This was announced by the organizers of Stuttgart’s ATP 250 grass-court event on Tuesday. The Briton, who celebrates his 37th birthday on Wednesday, competed at the Tennis Club Weissenhof two years ago and had an outstanding tournament, reaching the final where he was stopped in a thrilling three-set match by Italian Matteo Berrettini.
“I have many positive memories from the tournament two years ago in Stuttgart, so I am very much looking forward to my return to the BOSS OPEN,” says Murray, who was ranked World No. 1 for 41 weeks and has celebrated 46 ATP Tour titles.
Murray will be joined by home favourites Alexander Zverev and Jan-Lennard Struff, Hubert Hurkacz of Poland as well as US-Americans Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton.
The BOSS Open offers a total prize money of €812,235 and will be held from June 8 to 16 at the Tennis Club Weissenhof in Stuttgart, Germany.
