Ignacio Buse of Peru and Spanish qualifier Albert Pedrico Kravtsov have reached the singles final of the 20th edition of the ITF M25 Vic. Buse, No. 6 seed of the ITF World Tennis Tour clay-court tournament at the Club Tennis Vic, defeated eighth-seeded Spaniard Daniel Merida 6-4, 6-3 in the stage of the last four on Saturday.
Buse won 75 per cent of his first-service points and broke his rival five times to advance in one hour and 28 minutes.
Meanwhile, Pedrico Kravtsov emerged victorious from the encounter between two qualifiers, beating Dutchman Michiel de Krom 6-2, 6-3. The 18-year-old capitalized on five of his seven break-point chances to prevail after one hour and 27 minutes.
Pedrico Kravtsov, ranked World No. 1286, will bid for his maiden title on the Pro Circuit. Buse, 20, could lift his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his first of the season. The pair will meet for the first time.
Hignett/MacKinley earn doubles title
On Friday, Liam Hignett and James MacKinley claimed the doubles title. The unseeded Britons beat Imanol Lopez Morillo of Spain and US-American Richard Zusman 7-5, 7-6 in one hour and 39 minutes.
Hignett and MacKinley celebrated their first triumph on the Pro Circuit.
