MONTREAL/STARNBERG, August 10, 2024

Friday’s matches at the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montreal were canceled due to heavy rain. Tournament officials decided early in the day to call off the entire schedule as the persistent rain, a result of the remnants of post-cyclone Debby, made it unlikely for any play to occur.

This cancellation means that several top players, including Jannik Sinner, will have to play two matches on Saturday to stay in the competition. The top seed from Italy is scheduled to face 15th seed Alejandro Tabilo of Chile no earlier than 12:30 p.m. local time on Court Central. If Sinner wins, he will return to the same court no earlier than 7 p.m. to face the winner of the match between fifth-seeded Russian Andrey Rublev and US-American qualifier Brandon Nakashima.

Saturday’s Order of Play can be found here.
