Juan Bautista Torres secured his second ATP Challenger Tour career title by winning the inaugural IZIDA Cup in Dobrich, Bulgaria, with a hard-fought victory over Ivan Gakhov from Russia.
The 22-year-old from Argentina came from behind on Saturday to win 5-7, 6-0, 7-5 in a grueling two-hour and 27-minute singles final. Torres clinched a critical break at 5-5 in the deciding set and then served out the match to claim the championship.

The Buenos Aires native, who previously won his first ATP Challenger Tour title in Troyes, France in June 2022, needed a deciding set in three of his five matches on the Bulgarian clay to emerge victorious. Bautista Torres collected € 5,080 in prize money as well as 50 ATP Ranking points.
The IZIDA Cup offered a total prize purse of €36,900 and was held at the Tennis Club Izida in Dobrich, a city located in northeastern Bulgaria, known for its rich history and cultural significance. As the administrative center of the Dobrich Province, the city plays a key role in the region. It is often referred to as the “granary of Bulgaria” due to its agricultural importance.
The city features a mix of modern and traditional architecture, with attractions like the Ethnographic Museum and the old town showcasing its heritage.
