“I am very happy that I listened to my team and came here, allowing me to build on the momentum I gained from the US Open qualification,” said Choinski, who was born in Koblenz, Germany. “In fact, I’ve been getting stronger with each match, thanks to the great atmosphere and amazing crowd here in Tulln.”
Choisnki earned his third Challenger career title, his first since Meerbusch, Germany last year. He pocketed €16,550 in prize money as well as 100 ATP Ranking points.
“Jan played incredibly well, especially with his kick serves in the wind, making it extremely difficult for me,” said Neumayer. “My returns were only as effective as I had planned at the start of the match, and they worked so well throughout the tournament. Nevertheless, this has been a very special week for me. First, reaching the semifinals on my birthday, and then playing in the final with my family watching—what more could you ask for? A big thank you to everyone who made this tournament possible.”
The 22-year-old collected a prize purse of €9,705 as well as 50 ATP Ranking points.
