Jaume Munar of Spain has clinched the title of the Bad Waldersdorf Trophy. The top seed of the ATP Challenger Tour 125 clay-court tournament defeated fourth-seeded Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild 6-2, 6-1 in Sunday’s singles final.

In front of about 1,500 spectators on Center Cour, Munar saved the only break point he faced and converted four of his own six break-point opportunities to succeed in one hour and 12 minutes.

“I knew exactly what I had to do today. In our last match in Rio, I was too passive, but I approached it differently from the start today,” Munar said.

“It was wonderful being here with you. I was able to show some good tennis, and I also got to relax very well. Thank you very much!”

Munar lifted his 10th ATP Challenger career trophy, his first of the season. The World No. 74 pocketed € 20,300 in prize money as well as 125 ATP Ranking points.

The second edition of the Bad Waltersdorf Trophy was held at the Sportaktivpark Bad Waltersdorf, a charming spa town located in the Styrian region of Austria, which is known for its thermal springs and wellness retreats.
