HAMBURG, September 27, 2024
This fall, the city of Hamburg is once again set to welcome top-level international tennis. The ITF 75 Ladies Hamburg event will bring numerous players from around the globe to the Tennisverbandshalle in Hamburg-Horn. With a total prize pool of $60,000 (approx. €54,100), the tournament runs from October 27 to November 3. The winner will receive approximately €9,000 and 75 WTA Ranking points.
Tournament director Björn Kroll expressed pride in hosting another international women’s tournament following the ATP Challenger in March, stating, “The ECE Ladies Hamburg Open at Rothenbaum also demonstrated Hamburg’s enthusiasm for international women’s tennis.”
Main draw matches begin Tuesday after the weekend qualifiers. The final day will feature a special program, including a mini-cup event for children and wheelchair tennis as part of the tournament’s focus on inclusion.
A “Wildcard Tournament” will also be held from October 17-20, offering the winner a spot in the main event.
Supported by the city of Hamburg (Active City), the North-East Regional League, and the Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein tennis associations, entry to all matches is free.
