One of Brazil’s rising stars in women’s tennis, 14-year-old Nauhany Silva, will compete in the ITF World Tennis Tour W15 event – Campeonato Internacional de Tenis de Ribeirao Preto. The tournament runs from November 24 to December 1 at the Ipe Golf Club in Ribeirao Preto, offering $15,000 in prize money and 15 WTA Ranking points for the winner.

Nauhany, nicknamed “Naná,” made history in September as the youngest Brazilian to enter the WTA Rankings, currently positioned at Word No. 1299 with six points earned from three tournaments. Notably, she achieved a career-best victory recently, defeating Mika Stojsavljevic, the reigning Junior US Open champion and World No. 7 in the ITF Junior Rankings, during the Billie Jean King Cup Junior competition.

“This year has been full of learning and new experiences,” said Nauhany. “Playing both junior and professional tournaments, I fulfilled my dream of entering the WTA Rankings. I’m excited to play another ITF tournament in Ribeirão Preto, having made the main draw directly. I plan to enjoy the opportunity and play freely and happily.”

The tournament will also feature prominent Brazilian players such as Luiza Fullana (ranked 575th), Ana Candiotto (615th), and local favourite Julia Konishi (784th). The event begins with the qualifying on November 25, followed by the main draw starting November 26.
