Hady Habib has claimed the title of the Dove Men+Care Temuco to become the first ATP Challenger Tour champion from Lebanon. The 26-year-old overcame No. 3 seed Camilo Ugo Carabelli from Argentina 6-4, 6-7(3), 7-6(2) in Sunday’s singles final.
Habib advanced to the championship match of the ATP Challenger Tour 100 hard-court tournament with wins in the bottom half of the draw over Argentine alternate Gonzalo Villanueva, Matias Soto of Chile as well as Brazilians Daniel Dutra da Silva and Joao Lucas Reis da Silva.
Habib fired 19 aces in the final and won 87 per cent of his first-service points. He broke Ugo Carabelli’s serve three times to prevail after two hours and 34 minutes.

Following 10 triumphs on the ITF World Tennis Tour, the World No. 320 lifted his maiden trophy on the ATP Challenger Circuit. Habib pocketed $18,230 in prize money as well as 100 ATP Ranking points. He reaches a new career-high ranking of World No. 216.
The first edition of the Dove Men+Care Temuco offered a total prize pool of $133,250 and was held at the Estadio Municipal German Becker in Temuco, a city in southern Chile. It is located in the heart of the Araucanía Region, nestled between the Andes mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Known as the gateway to the Chilean Lake District, Temuco is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, including lush forests, pristine lakes, and snow-capped volcanoes.
