On Wednesday, Ivanovic was joined by reigning Australian Open champion Angelique Kerber for a practice session on the grass courts in Wimbledon quality.

“We are excited that Angelique has decided to come to Mallorca at short notice in order to prepare for Wimbledon,” told organizer Edwin Weindorfer. “We hope to welcome Angelique next year again, but in 2017 not only as a guest, but as one of the tournament’s competitors,” tournament director Peer Zebergs added.

On Thursday, top-seed and freshly crowned Roland Garros champion Garbine Muguruza will have her first practice session together with 1998 French Open titlist Carlos Moya.
