Denmark secured a dramatic comeback victory over Serbia in the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers First Round as seven other ties also reached their conclusions on Saturday.
Starting the day at 0-2, Johannes Ingildsen and Holger Rune beat Miomir Kecmanovic and Hamad Medjedovic in straight sets to reduce the arrears, before Rune and Elmer Moeller won their reverse singles matches to seal a memorable victory in front of a boisterous Copenhagen crowd.

Elsewhere, Japan overcame Great Britain 3-2 thanks to singles victories for Yoshihito Nishioka and Kei Nishikori, while there were comfortable wins for Australia, Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Germany and USA who all progress to the Qualifiers Second Round in September.
In the remaining ties in the Qualifiers First Round, France lead Brazil 2-0 in Orleans, Spain lead Switzerland 2-0 in Biel and Chile and Belgium are locked at 1-1 in Hasselt after Day 1. Canada’s clash with Hungary got underway at 1800 GMT in Montreal.
