Matteo Berrettini will return to Stuttgart competing in the 2025 BOSS Open. This was announced by organizers of the ATP Tour 250 grass-court event. The Italian fan favorite has already claimed two titles at the Tennis Club Weissenhof, winning in 2019 and 2022, and finishing as runner-up in 2024. His impressive record of 13 wins and only 2 losses at the tournament speaks for itself. The BOSS Open will be held from June 7 to 15, 2025.
His first title in 2019 came after a straight-set victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime, followed by another triumph in 2022, where he edged out Andy Murray in a dramatic three-set final. In 2024, Berrettini came close to his third Stuttgart title, battling Jack Draper in a thrilling final. In front of 6,000 passionate spectators, the rising British star fought off Berrettini 3-6, 7-6(5), 6-4.
“It was an incredible week and an incredible final – so close. This loss will hurt for a while, but that’s tennis. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose,” Berrettini reflected. Now he is eager to add a third BOSS OPEN title to his name in 2025.
