SANTIAGO DE CHILE/STARNBERG, March 3, 2025
Laslo Djere captured his third ATP Tour career title on Sunday at the Movistar Chile Open, defeating third seed Sebastian Baez in a hard-fought final to prevent the Argentine from defending his Santiago crown and securing back-to-back titles.
The Serbian clinched his first ATP title since 2020 with a 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 victory, marking his 150th career tour-level singles win. With this triumph, Djere will make a significant leap in the ATP Rankings, climbing 29 spots to World No. 74 on Monday. Previously ranked No. 103, he becomes the first player outside the Top 100 to lift a title in 2024.
